Welcome to my Best Five blog posts of 2021!!! I'm Nancy, the quilter quilting these quilts. I've been quilting for 41 years. I bought my APQS longarm 9 years ago in order to get my own quilts quilted. I added a computer to my longarm in 2020. I quilt for family and friends, too. We lived in Japan for 24 years so a lot of my quilts feature Japanese fabrics. I love the modern fabrics and colors as well!
Cheryl @ Meadow Mist Designs hosts a link party for quilt bloggers every year end. The guidelines for one's best 5 are open to interpretation. Here are my Best Five!!
Most comments: 🎄Holiday Party🎉SAL --I love sew alongs for how they push me to finish a quilt! SuzyQuilts kept us sewing along on a schedule that finished our Christmas quilt just before Thanksgiving--perfect timing!!!
Most views: ✂️Wanda QAL✂️--Another sew along, hosted by Gudrun @ GE Designs, during January, 2021. I mistakenly cut out twice as many charm squares as I needed, so I made 2 quilts!!!
My fav: 🎂Happy 1st Birthday!!!🎂--Our granddaughter turned one this year, which called for some special gifts and a party with a llama and cactus theme!!!
DH's fav: Susanna's 🔘Round 🐦Robin--My DH admitted it was tough to pick just one blog post favorite! Plus I asked him not to duplicate my choice. He chose this one for the happy memories!!! It is a round robin quilt started by our daughter with rounds added on by Sioux Falls Quilters members when we lived in that area eight years ago.
Most quilts in one post: 15 Gingham Baby Quilts!!!--I started making gingham baby quilts for Jack's Basket earlier this year and couldn't stop!!! It was a fun use of fabrics from my collection, and a great way to try out different pantographs on my longarm!!! Plus, Jack's Basket is my favorite charity to gift quilts to!!!
Thanks for stopping by!!! Come again!!! You can sign up for email updates on the top right side of my blog, above!
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy
