Lil' Bundle Club

Goody's Lil' Bundle Club is a new fabric subscription from GE Designs! Every other month one gets a coordinated set of 12 fabrics, sized 6" x 22". All 12 pieces together equals one yard, with great variety!

RSC💚Jelly Roll Drag Race

Green is the Rainbow Scrap Challenge color for May. I'm using my scrap 2 1/2" strips to make baby-sized jelly roll "drag race" quilts! This month my scrap drawer held enough for three!!!

Baby💚Quilts

One of my favorite parts of quilting is cutting fabric up! Especially nowadays, with large 60mm rotary cutters and the Stripology Ruler for making cutting fabric fast and fun!!! I went through some of my scraps recently and cut them up. I'm using my favorite Villa Rosa Designs pattern--Honey Bouquet, and have downsized it here to baby quilt size.

RSC 💛

This year, for Rainbow Scrap Challenge, I'm making jelly roll race baby quilts for Bundles of Love, a local charity that delivers bundles of newborn items to families in need. 

March is the yellow month for RSC, a lesser used color in my collection. Still, I had enough strips to put together 2 baby quilts!

On Saturday, February 15th, Gudrun of GE Designs hosted an all-day quilt-along for her newest pattern, Jolee! 

The QAL was free with the purchase of the pattern. She broadcast instructions and slideshows of quilts in progress at 10 am, noon, 2 pm and 4 pm on YouTube and Facebook, each lasting about 30 minutes.

 For 2025, I'm working on whittling down my 2 1/2" scrap strips drawer. This calls for a serious attack, as my drawer is at overflow level! I started by sorting all the strips by color. February is blue, so I gathered the blue strips, which is my most used color, and started sewing them end to end. 

I'm making jelly roll race baby quilts for Bundles of Love, a local charity that delivers bundles of newborn items to families in need. They request baby quilts to be 35" to 40" wide and 40" to 50" long. I shoot for the largest size, 40" x 50", knowing they will shrink a bit with quilting and washing.

 Lynn made this first quilt⤵️ to celebrate her brother's retirement! She was so enthusiastic in making the blocks that she made enough for her brother's quilt plus two more throw quilts!!!💛

Although these are queen size quilts, they're also twins!!! They are made from the exact same fabrics, same pattern, same thread color, same batting, same pantograph/quilting, same backing, and the same binding. Only the placement of the prints varies! Maybe that makes them fraternal twins?!!

January is pink, so I gathered the pink strips and decided to make jelly roll race quilts.
